blog assignment 4

an abiotic factor that would affect the life of my plant would be the soil and water. some biotic factors would be insects, and other plants that provide oxygen and nitrogen. the soil affects the plant by absorbing the water for the plants. and the insects by what they transfer on to the plants, and what they take from the plants. the plants must be involved in competition from there being so many in one space. the plants compete with eachother for food and water. The plants aren't much of the losers because they make chemicals that they defend themselves with. For Instance, A catrerpillar feeds of a plant. that plant might create a poison chemical that could kill the caterpillar. The Plants are also involved in another interaction that is called parasitism. where one organism eats off another and is harmed. It seems more like secondary succession because other plants have been planted there so that environment knows the procedure of how to grow plants because it has experienced it already.
